Biblical Storytelling
The Bible is God’s divine word, written by many authors but totally inspired by GOD himself.
WOW. What a book -unlike any other! It is time to Go Back to the Bible.
Over half of the Bible is narrative. These narratives were composed in an oral culture in which the composition, transmission, and public performance of the narrative was done by speaking.
What if these true stories of the Bible can be internalized and lived out by the process of Storytelling?
Welcome to Biblical Storytelling – Oral & Digital.
In Oral Storytelling, the goal is to learn the story, keeping in mind the characters, circumstances, places, history etc so that it can be narrated to others using different techniques like Simple narration, Narration with Dialogue, using objects, figures, puppets, sketching and others.
In Digital Storytelling, you can use the different forms and styles of the electronic culture to produce audio-visual stories. You can use music, sounds, songs, repetitions to create a powerful learning stage. You can also produce videos by recording the Oral Storytelling with music and sounds or by putting together a relevant series of actions that bring alive the narration visually. You have a whole lot of options in the second type of video clip production. The most important fact is to always remember: That the message is at the center of the video and that entertainment is only secondary.
After being trained by Dr.Tom Boomershine, Rev.Amelia Boomershine and Dr.Frances Plude in Biblical Storytelling – Oral & Digital from the Network of Biblical Storytellers (NOBS), we now conduct workshops on Biblical Storytelling.

(Participants will learn to learn the stories of the Bible. They will use the power of visualization and art of performance criticism to relive the stories of the Bible, just like many did during the times of the Bible. Their creativity will be challenged and they will learn to use the techniques and styles of both Oral & Digital Storytelling to share God’s Holy Word)
Churches, Bible colleges and Ministries can take these workshops and bring alive the stories and truths of the Bible.
Customized packages can be created for Bible colleges so that it becomes a part of their learning curriculum.
We also conduct Train the Storyteller program, in which participants can learn to conduct these workshops themselves. The prerequisite is that they had participated in the Biblical Storytelling workshop and have been practicing Biblical Storytelling.
We also plan to start a Story Guild in tie-up with NOBS, so many can learn to become better at Storytelling using creativity and the power of the Holy Spirit.
